“Chapter’s Annual assembly”
On December 16, 2005, the Annual General Assembly Meeting
was held at the Gefinor Rotana Hotel in Beirut at 6:30 PM
The Chapter President, Dr. Michel Daher, addressed the General
Assembly presenting a summary of the past year’s activities.
The Chapter’s Governor, Dr. Wihbi Shuayb, in turn, read his
address to the General Assembly briefing the audience about
the last ACS meeting in the USA. The Secretary/ Treasurer, Dr.
George Zaytoun, gave his annual report in front of the
Assembly. This was followed by the annual financial report.
New members who have joined the Chapter were individually
welcomed. The Secretary/treasurer opened the floor for
nominations for the election of four new members to replace
Drs: U. Hadi, M Azzi, B, Shabb and W. Saghir and of a
President-elect to replace Dr. Imad Kaddoura who became de
facto President of the Chapter. Dr. Salim Ghostine was
nominated for the position of President-elect. Drs: Assem Al-
Hajj, Saad Bizri, Jihad Ezzeddin and Robert Daou were
nominated for the position of members. The nominees were
elected to their respective terms of office. Finally, Dr. Imad
Kaddoura the incumbent President of the Chapter was given the
floor. He addressed the audience briefly, exposing in general
terms, the method he will follow during his term. The meeting
was adjourned at 7:50PM. |
